Wedding Trivia

Weddings are filled with rituals, customs and traditions that originated centuries ago and have endured the test of time. These wedding traditions have evolved somewhat but have been maintained over the years and handed down to the next generation because they were believed to ensure the promise that they would bring happiness and good fortune to the newly married couple. Why tamper with tradition when so much is at stake?

One interesting bit of wedding trivia is the origin of the practice of giving or exchanging engagement rings. It began in 1477 when Roman Emperor, Maximilian I, gave Mary of Burgundy a diamond ring as an engagement present.

Money Saving Tips

If you want to save money on your floral arrangements, stick with flowers that are in season or use large quantities of bargain flowers instead of the traditional arrangements of roses and orchards. The results will be dramatic!
